David Lloyd Kilmer grew up in seven houses and three countries. He has been a wildland firefighter, EMT, small town reporter, sailing instructor, ski bum and magazine editor of CdA (Coeur D'Alene) Magazine. He has written columns for sailing magazines about his adventures around the globe. But none of this prepared him for the absolute joy, terror and moment-by-moment purity of being a Caribbean boat captain which prompted his first book, a memoir entitled, A Peril To Myself and Others.
